About

Ed was born in Bath, England and he studied a BTEC in Performing Arts at City of Bath College. Whilst there he entered and won a BBC New Talent competition, the prize of which was to play a role in a BBC drama. A short time later he was given a character in an episode of long running afternoon drama Doctors.  Around the same time the popular Channel 4 comedy Teachers was casting for series two and Ed got invited to a group scout audition and was offered the role of Curtis, a student appearing throughout series two and popping up in three and four too.

Just as Ed was finishing his BTEC, a fortuitous conversation with Teachers casting director Di Carling led to an introduction to an agent and his career began.

Deciding against applying to drama school as he was already represented and getting work Ed has learnt all he knows "on the job" working with some fantastic and inspiring directors, actors and creatives.
